There was a quote on a board at my gym that said “The average American adult, gains 10-15 pounds during the holidays”. Wow. Do that year after year, and that could be a contributing factor as to why a majority of adults in America are considered clinically obese (along with the poor eating habits and lack of exercise the rest of the year as well).
On the same day that I saw that sign, at the end of my Spinning class, the instructor said “try to commit to making it to one more class before the holidays…” I thought, it’s November 30th! Is that really such a stretch to make it to more than one class? Really?
It sounds hard-core, but if we all don’t MAKE the time to continue our exercise, keeping alcohol consumption in check, and monitoring our eating patterns during the next 30 days, WE WILL BECOME A STATISTIC! We will be 10-15 lbs. heavier. No thank you. Make the commitment with me.
